Thursday: LCBO on Rideau Street–Cocktails and Conversation

The LCBO (our liquor store outlets in Ontario) have come up with such a great marketing idea with Penguin. They call it the Cocktails and Conversation Book Club.

They charge $ 35 for an evening of drinks and appetizers with a local author, and throw in a book.  These are most often held in Toronto, but they’ve arranged one in Ottawa for my mystery novel, The Beggar’s Opera.

I’m scheduled for the evening of June 7th at the big LCBO at Rideau and King Edward (275 Rideau) so if you are in or near Ottawa that day, I hope you’ll come and enjoy some appetizers and mojitos and chat with me about the book!

Sorry I’ll have to miss this due to a prior commitment! Hopefully next time we’ll receive plenty of advanced notice! (And the Hunt Club & Merivale LCBO will host?)

Sorry to hear that, Jo-Anne! I had put it up weeks ago and then totally forgot to remind everyone (I’ve been a little pre-occupied with that blasted Commercial Property exam! I think only the Rideau St. LCBO is going to do these but you could ask?
