Getting Published soon to be an E-Book!

I was at a great little author’s event last night and was asked (as always) what the steps are in getting published. I was happy to be able to refer the questioner to this blog, and also to let her know that it will soon be an e-book. The manuscript for Getting Published is currently being edited. My talented daughter Jade (who does graphic design and album covers) is working up a jacket cover.

So within a few weeks, you’ll have a compilation of the 400 odd posts I’ve put up on the publishing process over the past year-and-a-half on topics ranging from querying to marketing.

Also excited to let you all know that the serialized podcast for the short story prequel to The Beggar’s Opera (The Angel’s Share) is in the final editing stages with sound engineer, Jeff Schade.  My actor pal, Thelma Farmer, has done a marvellous job on the audio — I’m thrilled!

Not sure yet if we’ll be putting it here or on the peggyblair.com website —  it has embedded photographs of Cuba, and I don’t know if that will work on WordPress. But wherever it ends up, there will be seven episodes, posted once weekly. So stay tuned for news on both fronts!

I have no idea why that would be. I have checked the settings and they don’t require that a commenter provide a name and email address or that s/he be registered to comment. Sorry!
