I had a lot of fun last night at an Ottawa book club hosted by my friend, Janice. We had a lively discussion about all things Cuban, the creative process, and how one markets books these days. It was nice to hear how much these readers (mostly librarians) enjoyed The Beggar’s Opera: one (Judith) said “it was as good as a thriller gets,” while another (Fay) called it “richly layered.”
Janice has a lovely home and we sat out on the back deck sipping wine and punch and nibbling away until it got quite dark out.
Here is a photograph of the participants. Thanks so much for having me over, Janice, and lovely to meet all of you!
